Have you felt like something's a bit off?
Well, here's 5 signs that it's time to make a major change in your life.
Number one: You start to feel numb in your life, everyday.
What does that mean? You're just going through the motions, waking up, going to work, eating, sleeping, just the regular routine every single day and you're not feeling good. You're just feeling numb. Maybe you're not feeling the joy that you used to feel getting excited for things. Maybe you're just feeling, not even any empathy or any emotions.
Complete robot mode, really just trying to get through the day… every day.
Number two: Your energy is low.
You're feeling depressed, or maybe there's times where you thinking like, what is the whole point in this? Maybe you're just thinking that every day is pretty mundane and uninteresting. You're just feeling a bit withdrawn, so something is not making you feel excited to wake up every day.
Number three: You feel like you're settling and not growing
Maybe you have an idea that maybe there is something out there for myself, but I don't know if it's right. Maybe I should be thankful I have this job. Maybe I should be thankful for this relationship. You know he's really good to me, and I can't complain.
But then, deep down inside, you know you're settling, you know, like maybe there's something better out there for me. But you know it. Maybe I should just be thankful for what I have.
So, in fact, you're actually settling and not growing.
Number 4: You’re escaping to avoid facing your reality.
There's something about escaping through things to avoid what's in front of you. So it could be overindulging in food. You know you're getting excited just to eat, or maybe you're eating as a way to escape or deal with some of your feelings.
Another thing you could be doing is spending.. spending money to go on trips, or buying something, to make yourself feel better, to compensate for something that you're not feeling good about in your life.
You could be just going. Oh, you know what One more episode of Netflix. Let me just watch another episode of Netflix before I go do something. Another episode. Then you have watched 3 or 4 seasons. Okay, or maybe like me throwing myself into work.
Working, working, working, finding extra work to do, finding things to keep me busy and just indulging in a form of addictions in order for me to feel better with my life, to not have to realize what is actually in front of me, or confront the fact that I was actually unhappy.
And then number 5. First of all, you start to lie to yourself into others instead of facing the truth or admitting it.
So what does that mean? You know. Maybe you're like, you know what?
I should be thankful for my job that I have, even though you know everybody is not as nice to me. It's not so great. I do have responsibilities, you know people are relying on money for me, so of course I can't go and just leave to do something else.
It's not right for me and my me being selfish to go and get a job that makes me feel better because people are relying on me for stability, or I can't leave him. He does his best. He's, you know. He may not be the nicest person all the time, but I should be thankful for somebody that wants to commit to me.
So we start to make excuses, to mask and hide the truth of our reality.
So be mindful when you're starting to make excuses for things. when you know that you're kind of just hiding something or avoiding something.
So there you have it 5 signs that it's time to make a change in your life, so I don't want to the growth to end.
